Cataract Surgery
Cataracts are a leading cause of blindness. In most cases, a simple
surgical procedure can prevent blindness or restore sight. This painless, outpatient
surgery requires only local anesthetic and is available locally at Arbuckle
Memorial Hospital.
Cataract surgery* is performed by a Board Certified Ophthalmologist.
Urology Clinic
Physician-performed cystoscopy checks for bladder abnormalities and disease.
If needed, biopsies can be taken to determine a malignancy. Anyone experiencing
chronic infection or pain, blood in the urine, or those who wish to have a routine
exam performed can do so on an outpatient basis at Arbuckle Memorial Hospital.
Endoscopy
Endoscopy is a medical procedure that uses tube-like instruments (endoscopes) to look at the inside of the body. Endoscopy can be used to diagnose various internal abnormalities such as cancer, polyps, bleeding, ulcers and cysts. The National Cancer Institute recommends anyone over age 50 have regular screenings. This important outpatient procedure is now offered to patients at Arbuckle memorial Hospital.
